Prior to joining Hull & Hull LLP as an Associate in 2023, Shawnee gained diverse litigation experience as an Associate Lawyer at civil litigation boutiques in Toronto. Shawnee’s litigation experience is wide-ranging. Shawnee has acted in complex product liability, personal injury and class action matters. Shawnee’s past legal experience includes practicing in insurance defence litigation, estate and trust litigation, and articling at the Ministry of the Attorney General, Crown Law Office – Civil, wherein she acted on behalf of the province in various civil litigation proceedings.
More recently, Shawnee’s practice focuses on estate litigation and solicitor’s negligence claims. Shawnee is designated Prefered Counsel for the Lawyers’ Professional Indemnity Company. She successfully navigates clients through professional negligence claims and potential claims. Shawnee leverages her unique litigation experience to advocate for our clients in all aspects of their estate and trust matters.
Shawnee graduated from Windsor Law in 2020, wherein she dedicated her time to two of Windsor’s legal aid clinics and the mentoring of law students. Today, Shawnee continues to mentor law students and new lawyers as they navigate the profession.
