Sanaya joined the firm as an associate in 2020 following her call to the bar. Prior to joining Hull & Hull LLP, Sanaya articled at a full-service law firm in downtown Toronto where she gained extensive experience in wills, trusts and estates. Sanaya also has experience in corporate law, family law, civil and commercial litigation, charities and not-for-profit, construction law, and employment and labour law.
Sanaya obtained her J.D. from Western University. Prior to law school, Sanaya earned her degree in Honour Legal Studies and Honours Arts & Business, with a Human Resources Management minor from the University of Waterloo.
While attending law school, Sanaya worked as a Caseworker and Supervisor at Community Legal Services where she drafted Wills and Powers of Attorney, represented clients in Small Claims Court and at criminal proceedings, and assisted in immigration matters. Sanaya was also responsible for supervising associate caseworkers and upper-year students in the clinic. During her time at Community Legal Services, Sanaya acted as the Co-Team Leader for the ID Project where she conducted clinic hours to assist members of the community obtain government issued photo identification and supervised a research proposal exploring the possibility of initiating a fee-waiver program.
