Associate

Filbert Yung

Filbert joined Hull & Hull LLP as an Associate in 2026, following his call to the bar in 2025.

Prior to joining the firm, Filbert articled at a litigation boutique in North York, where he gained experience in a broad range of civil and estate litigation matters.

Filbert earned his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. During law school, he received the C. Douglas MacLeod Memorial Scholarship for general scholastic achievement, with particular recognition for outstanding performance in administrative law. He also received the Omatsu Scholarship from the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers in recognition of his work as Co-President of the Queen’s Asian Law Students’ Association. Prior to law school, Filbert obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, specializing in Forensic Biology.

Outside of work, Filbert enjoys travelling, attending live music events, and fencing. He is also an Assistant Coach with the University of Toronto Fencing Team.
