Toronto estates and trusts lawyers Ian Hull and Suzana Popovic-Montag will be among the expert faculty at this year’s ‘Will, Estate and Trust Fundamentals for Estate Practitioners’ event, presented by the Canadian Bar Association (CBA).

On Oct. 29 from 2:45-3:15 p.m., Hull, co-founding partner of Hull & Hull LLP, and Popovic-Montag, managing partner of the firm, will present a session on mediation, eligible for 0.5 hours of Substantive CPD content.

The four-day CBA program is aimed at lawyers practicing in the area of trusts and estate planning, estate litigation and tax in their first seven years of practice, as well as general practitioners, accountants, trust officers and aligned professionals seeking a background in trust and estate law issues and related topics.

Junior to intermediate trusts and estates specialists and general practitioners will have an opportunity to solidify and expand on their knowledge in the area of wills, estates and trusts and to learn about new trends and developments and enhance practical skills. Expert speakers will cover the fundamental rules governing trusts, wills, capacity, estate administration, estate planning and estate litigation as well as address their tax aspects.

Case study-based workshops will also allow participants to work through the practical aspects of the lecture topics, and presenters will also address the skills required to build and manage an estates practice.

The program will run from Oct. 26 – 30 at the Westin Prince Hotel, located at 900 York Mills Rd. in Toronto.
