Popovic-Montag to discuss will challenges at Osgoode program

Suzana Popovic-Montag

Toronto estates and trusts lawyer Suzana Popovic-Montag will be among the faculty of expert speakers at this year’s ‘Advising the Elderly Client: The 2016 Practical Guide for Legal Professionals’ program, presented by Osgoode Professional Development.

The Sept. 28 event will outline current best practices and issues that frequently affect senior clients and their families, providing attendees with a practical understanding of what to do, and not do, in their role as a lawyer.

From 2 – 2:45 p.m., Popovic-Montag, managing partner of Hull & Hull LLP, will discuss the topic of will challenges, including how to prevent will and power of attorney challenges — when to video record client interviews, what lawyers should do about deathbed changes, and how to protect your client and yourself.

The event will run from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Osgoode Professional Development Centre, located at 1 Dundas St. W., 26th floor in Toronto, and via webcast.
